Qualitative research often aims to capture people’s lived experiences by unpacking the spaces between what people say they do, what people think they do, and what people actually do in certain situations. Qualitative arts-based and participatory methods and tools can support research, and assist in building connections, understanding and rapport between researchers and the people they work with.
This infographic gives a snapshot of qualitative methods which draw on arts-based and participatory tools that are currently being considered for use across the cities in Tuwe Pamoja. These methods and tools may be used together and layered depending on the interests, abilities and willingness of those involved.
The aim is to further detail these methods and tools in a comprehensive guidebook produced by Tuwe Pamoja researchers.
